MINING OFFICE “OBUKHOVSKAYA” JSC
MINING OFFICE “OBUKHOVSKAYA” JSC is one of the largest coal mining companies in the Rostov Region. The mine with a production capacity equal to 3 million tons of coal per year was commissioned in December 1978. It was initially named after the 60th anniversary of Lenin Komsomol. In 1991 the “60th anniversary of Lenin Komsomol” mine ceased to be part of the Gukovugol Industrial Association and became Obukhovskaya CJSC. Later on, the company split into Obukhovskaya Coal Mining and Processing Company OJSC and “OF “Obukhovskaya” CJSC.
In 2002, the mine that was commissioned in 1978, together with all of its property became part of the authorised capital of MINING OFFICE OBUKHOVSKAYA LLC, a newly created company. Later the company was reorganised into MINING OFFICE OBUKHOVSKAYA OJSC.
In 2016, the organizational and legal form of the enterprise has changed in accordance with the requirements of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation and the Company was renamed MINING OFFICE “OBUKHOVSKAYA” JSC.
MINING OFFICE “OBUKHOVSKAYA” JSC includes a beneficiation plant and a railway station.
The Company’s main line of business is coal mining using the underground method. Its additional business lines are coal beneficiation and other types of business permitted by the law of the Russian Federation. MINING OFFICE “OBUKHOVSKAYA” JSC holds a license permitting mining activities in the Obukhovskaya minefield of the Gukovo-Zverevskiy coal district in the Eastern Donbass. The reserves of the minefield account for 74 million tons and are sufficient to produce 1,500 thousand tons of anthracite per year.
MINING OFFICE “OBUKHOVSKAYA” JSC utilises advanced equipment: its longwall faces are equipped with mechanized KGS shearers and KD-90T roof supports. Diesel transport used in auxiliary shafts ensures a high level of safety in the mine.
Possessing the general legal capacity, the Company enjoys the civil rights and discharges the duties necessary to carry out any type of business that is not prohibited by the law.
